How
to add a link ...
Suppose
you have found a site you want to share with us,
First
make sure you are at the links menu that is suitable for that
link. Say for example you have found a link suitable for Living
Things (infants). At taht menu you click on addit...

The following
dialog box will appear:

You need
to add a brief discription of the site (you can figure that
out - something BRIEF that will tell our colleagues what they
will experience when they visit it).
If you
know the URL you can simply type it in.
An easier
method that prevents errors is to switch to the page where
you found the nice stuff (using the taskbar)
At this
point you have the links page in one window and the "nice
stuff" site in another window like this:

Click
on the "nice" site button on the taskbar and you
will switch to it. (Remember the buttons may be in a different
order and a diiferent number from the diagram).
This is
an example of the new window "nice" site

Right
click on a blank part of the page like in the above diagram.
Click
on Properties and the following will appear:

Highlight
the address (URL) (make sure you get all of it some URL can
be long and part may be hidden!

Right
click on the highlight and the menu above appears.
Click
on copy
Switch
back to the links page using the taskbar
Click
on addit
If nothing
happens you may have already opened the addit box an it is
on the taskbar
Switch
to the addit box on the taskbar

right
click in the URL box.
The click
on paste ...

The click
on the Add a Link
button an the link will be added..
Reload
the page and you link will appear in the list of links
Test the
link ...
Avoid
using the address box to add links as often when you find
a page you have been sent to that page by another site and
the address appearing in the Address Box is NOT for the site
you are surfing...

Using

The taskbar

Do
I have to join (resister) before I can use your site?
The
short answer is no! But you have limited access to itlrc.com
when you sign in as a guest (i.e. you have not registered).
When I say limited access, I mean
thet some of the resources or functions are only available
to registered users. When approved registered users login
they may be able to do one or more of the following:
- report
broken links
- rate
links
- other
maintenence functions as permitted by their level of access.
